I have been unemployed for about 2 months now. Oh I have a job interview today, Yea! Like I said before I found this tribe by accident. I was just bored one day after looking online for a job and typed in what to do with my life. I really have enjoyed reading everyones posts. I have done a couple things since I joined last week. I tried Boba Tea. I went by myself to a tea place my Asian friend told me to go to sometime. It was alright, I liked the tea more than the tapioca round things at the bottom, but the guy at the counter really was intrested that I never tried it and made sure it was an experience not just something to do. I probably will not get that kind again, but they really had some good coffee and other tea drinks there. I will be going back.
Then I tried Yoga. I think it would be very good for me, but I was born with scoliosis and had surgery about 23 years ago and still have a slight curve, but with the rods in my back I just do not bend that way. It is not that it hurt, I just couldn't even bend in those positions. So at least I tried and know now. I think I will stick to meditation. :)
I am going to Houston next week to see my second Bon Jovi concert for this tour. 2nd row center again. The Dallas show I was 2nd row center. That is an experience in itself. I have loved the band since I was 15 so they are like my legal high. My friend is staying at the Four Seasons and she said me and my sister can stay with her for the same price as what we are going to normally pay. So I will be staying there for only $75. I have never ever stayed at such a nice hotel and I am looking forward to it. Then I will be going to Galveston, TX the next day to hang out. I will let you all know if I try something new there! I really am starting to get excited about life again! I believe God has a lot to do with it.

Re: Now I tried something new
Mon, February 20, 2006 - 9:55 PMAlways do something new. Every day we should all try something new. Weather it is just to say hello to someone we don't know or hand a flower to them too. Or simple as just changing your habits. Go to a different coffee shop. If your always saying "Oh no I can't go there or do that" DON"T---Do it--we only get one life in this body--live it. -

Re: Now I tried something new
Sun, February 26, 2006 - 6:43 PMThank you Patty! That is great advice! I soooo have loved my life since I have had a lot to think about. I know that what happens everyday can change in the moments notice. Like today. I thought is was going to be boring. We had a great omlet breakfast at home then walked the dogs at a local park, then our friends called and said hey lets BBQ and have some drinks and we did and it was so much fun! We are planning our birthday parties together in April and it will be so much fun! I am here to DO as you say. I wish one day I can meet you 2. You seem so fun!!! Take care and God Bless!

Re: Now I tried something new
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 7:02 AMI was not sure which one to reply to on this string so I am replying to Patty's comment. As I told everyone before I went on a night ride on my mountain bike. As some of you may or may not know I ride about 3-4 times a week. On road, off road, trips or even daily activity chores like picking up a few groceries. so the other night my guy friends and husband talked me into going on a night ride. I had a light that I use for on road street riding nights, but never off road. It was soooo fun! I have done it already a few times since my last post. Last night was a first for me though, I rode my bike in the woods with a full moon. It was amazing! The moon really helps you see and it is just so quiet and surreal. I am so glad that I live about 2 miles from this trail and we are planning a biking trip in the next couple months before it is 100 degrees here in Texas. I will let you all know how that goes. Patty you are so right about taking life for what it gives you every day. God gave us all the full moon last night and I took that all in my heart. We want to take that night ride every full moon now if we can, Texas weather is unpredictable. :) -

Re: Now I tried something new
Wed, March 15, 2006 - 10:42 AMThis is so great, I have always loved the full moon! It is the most fantastic thing that has been given to us. If you want to take it a little further, you should check up on some Indian sources that tell you more of their beliefs in the moon and the meanings that it brings to them. It is very interesting and heart felt. Let me know what you think. In the mean time enjoy the moon every night!!! ;) -

Re: Now I tried something new
Tue, April 4, 2006 - 6:00 PMI haven't been on a ride lately with a full moon. Wow, between the massive storms, the cold and then I had the flu I just have not had a chance to hardly ride my bike at all. I went for a street ride today. My husband and I went to check out this African, Mexican, American food store. It was alright. I thought it would be more authentic, but it was more American.
Speaking of NEW things. My new job is going well. It is a lot of hard work, but I am learning a lot and it has wonderful benifits and the people are super nice. When all of you say to learn something new, wow! I have learned a lot. I will update more later. Have a good one and God Bless. -

Re: Now I tried something new
Tue, April 25, 2006 - 2:07 PMThat is great news! I am so proud of you Patty. It is always good to finish something you started and the feeling is great! Work hard and never give up!
So it keeps getting better and better. I have a new job now and after 2 long years of trying to have a baby. It happened! I am pregnant. So I am trying something very new. A parent! Wow, I am going to be a mommy. We did not think we would be able to have children. So Michael, no parasailing this summer, but maybe next. I wanted to try that, but I do not think my doctor or husband would let me. Bike riding is a no no now too, but I hae so many other great things to look foward to. When we found out 2 weeks ago, I did not believe it until I went to the doctor. I will keep you all updated on my experiences of first time pregnancy. Take care all.

Re: Now I tried something new
Mon, March 6, 2006 - 10:06 AMI tried 2 new things in 2 days. One is I rode my bike on a night ride in the forest. Wow! So different under the stars and the sounds too. I was a little leary at first because it is near this long drop of a creek, but we rode several times around about one mile during the day and I got it down. It is a new trail we found by our house and it is something we could do on those really really hot 100 degree days in Texas at night. We will be planning our biking trip soon so I will keep you all posted on my adventures. We plan to do bike riding at least 3 times a week off rode and after work take picnics when the time changes. So fun!!!
Then something very simple was today I tried pumpkin cookies with chocloate chips. Wow! Something so small could make you happy. :) -

Re: Now I tried something new
Mon, March 13, 2006 - 2:10 PMToday I tried something new. It may seem silly for some, but what I did is sit and do nothing all day. Things have been very crazy for me and I am not one to sit still anyway--so for me doing nothing is really something very new for me. -

Re: Now I tried something new
Sun, February 26, 2006 - 6:39 PMHello all, well just a note about my AMAZING trip to Houston and Galveston! I went to the Bon Jovi concert and had 2nd row center. I cannot tell you how much fun it was. If you like Rock music this band can put on a show!!!!! Richie Sambora saw the sign I made for him and pointed at me. O.K. besides meeting them many times I guess in the excitment of the concert just him seeing this is so cool!!! The concert was in Houston and I stayed at the 4 seasons hotel. DO NOT stay at that hotel! Service was terrible. Long story, but it is not worth the money. It was beautiful hotel, but I would not spend that much on it and I had a great time with my Bon Jovi friends. The best thing about the hotel was the chocolate martinit that I tried. I thought why not try something new. That is my theme for the year. Ohhhhh so good. It was worth it. If you have never tried it, so good!!! Worth it. If you drink. And it is attainable anywhere! Why not try it. Let me know what you think.
O.K. the next day we went to Galveston, TX . While we were down there from Dallas we thought we would go. Off season is so fun!!! Less traffic and less people and still 73 degrees!@!!!!!! Awesome. It was a little foggy but still warm. Long story short, we walked the beach and picked up shells and enjoyed the sun for an hour, rode the trolley, saw Victorian architector (all done up in Mardi gras, they have the 2nd largest party in USA) and then went to ride a farris wheel on the beach area and drank margaritas that night on an open deck restaruant on the seawall. So fun!!! I tried so many new things.
This all was such a great break from being laid off a couple months ago, I felt like I soooo deserved it.
Thank you for reading my amazing time for 2006 and I hope I can write more adventure this year. BTW, Michael, i plan to parasail sometime this year. I will let you know.
