I havn't posted in awhile. I have been busy with a two year old and working full time. Going to church is a good thing! I have been going to a great church for almost 3 years now. We absolutely love it! Very progressive and loving people that go there.

I have done so much since I posted. I few vacations. One to Austin TX, Glen Rose TX too. We have limited possiblilites with a two year old now. I have really loved being a mom. That is what I enjoy doing. I looked back on the post about my new job back in 2006 and was like. I didn't post I got that job. I did and now it is almost 3 years.

My New Year's reslution was to have more fun and laughter. Boy I have been puposely doing this and yes we are having so much fun in life despite the economy. I found if I "schedule" FUN time it usually always happens. Just this month alone I have a long list. It is from taking long walks to playing with my 2 year old. :) These are my NEW things I enjoy doing.

One of the most useful suggestions in the 7 Habits program is to remember when you felt happy and satisfied, and then figure out what you can do to experience more of it. You've got a good start.

My little one is now 6 months old. I am seeing new and exciting things in him everyday. His name is Marcus. I see not too many people have posted in awhile so I thought I would just post something for someone to read. O.K. I know sometimes hearing about other people's kids is boring, so i will say one thing. I never thought I would enjoy being a mom so much!! He is the love of my life. It is so fun teaching him everything of the world and I cannot wait to see what is next. So my new thing I love DOING is being with my son.

I have done that hiking before. We got a little lost and ended up going the very long way around the trails. A lot of elevation that I was not expecting, especially here in North Texas. I am glad you found your trail though, that sounds so much fun. I will get back into my biking after the baby, but do miss that too!

OK. The whole biking thing...i need to rethink this. No...just kidding. i did however get my bike out for what i thought was going to be a short trip to the local high school where i would park it and then attempt a 5K. Didn't quite make as the track was being used by...a...track team. So i thought i would take a nice, leisurely ride around the neighborhood in search of a bike trail i knew existed...somewhere. Finally found it and started to follow it...not quite sure where i would end up...I had an idea though. the trail was very peaceful with lots of trees on both sides, couples out walking, people jogging and parents with their children on bikes...it was nice. I was really enjoying the ride, which up to this point was on fairly level ground. Man, that was about to change. I was roughly 3 or 4 miles from home when i decided to get off the path and on the streets......mistake. The fairly level ground was nowhere to be found. I think I quite possibly used all 24 gears. I finally made it home and crawled in my house just barely making it upsatirs because my legs had turned to jelly. can't wait to do it again!!

Going to the gym
Biking
Playing frisbee
Like Michael....LOVE to fish. I'm part of a group that meets once a month to fish at the lake they live on.,,,Michael, when you come down we'll go
Reading
Visiting my son in Chicago
Visiting family in Des Moines
Teaching and sharing my faith
Now that it's Summer...hope to do some water skiing
Going to major league ball games... even though the Royals stink I love the atmosphere.

Thanks Lisa for the post. Sorry it's been so slow around here but hey hopefully that's because everyone is out and about enjoying life instead of sitting at their computers. Anyway here's my list.

Bassfishing. This is just recently. I've never been a big fisherman but one Saturday morning when there was nothing on TV and I just didn't feel much like doing anything I came across Bassmasters on ESPN and was hooked...no pun intended. Now K and I go as often as we can which has been almost every week for 2 weeks.

Storm Chasing. Spring means stroms. Living in the midwest means storms. Chasing storms means lots of fun.

Scuba Diving. Now that the weather is warmer and the lakes around here have warmed my son and I love to gear up and get wet.

Play with my dogs
Swim in the Ocean
Watch movies
Listen to music (especially Bon Jovi)
Be with my friends on weekends
